How Our "Little House of Everything" Was Built
Here is a little background on how I (Lauren AKA Mom) came about The Lemony Lion. I have been creating delicious baked goods, unique crafts and home décor for the last nine years. July 2016, I welcomed a baby boy who was my little cub and fighter. It was a rough pregnancy, but Little Leo has grown into a powerful lion who is a leader in his little pack. August 2019, I welcomed a baby girl who was and still is the sweetest little lemon you have ever met. Miss Leila gave mom some sweet moments and definitely some sour moments. She is daddy's little Sourpatch Kid. It took a bit to narrow down the name because I really wanted my little house of everything to have "Everything" & "Everyone" in the tittle. Hence, The Lemony Lion.
I thought about how to explain what type of "business" that we have going here because we have so many options for you to purchase something that can bring a bit of sunshine to a loving home for a day (delicious treats) or a lifetime.

I remember sitting in my grandmother's kitchen as she was peeling and slicing Fresh Fredericksburg Peaches, and in that moment I knew that I loved the feeling of home there in her kitchen. I always do that "Happy Tummy Dance" when a customer tells me that something I created in my kitchen with fresh ingredients, real food and nothing in my heart but love and patience brings them back to their loved ones kitchens where memories are played like quick reels of happiness. I have always loved a good craft project, but this side of the business really started when I found out I was pregnant with my son. Equipped with only my hands, favorite craft scissors and materials I would create some of the most amazing 3D, pull tab, and decorated gift bags, invitations and decoration that I started getting a following from those who wanted to have a those imaginative parties, but didn't want to spend time away from their families to create it. That is where The Lemony Lion comes into your picture. Once the projects started getting bigger and multiplied I made the investment of getting the right tools for any job. I know the saying "One man's junk, is another man's treasure" and to say that I don't live by it would be a lie. I love finding little treasures at boutiques, markets and wherever they may jump out to me. I love finding new purpose for something that had to be retired at it's previous home. JUST A FEW OF OUR FAVORITE THINGS
CANDIED PECANS
Pecans are a treat on their own, but when you slow-roast the nuts with a perfected Cinnamon Candy Coating, they go from tasty to heavenly.
These pecans make for a great snack, but they're also useful in other recipes. For example, you can add them to your morning oatmeal, mix with your ice cream, or bake them into brownies. The roasting gives the pecans a deep, complex flavor which paired with the crisp of the cinnamon candy topping that can't be replicated.
PEANUT BRITTLE
It may have been rectangular, triangular, or a square, but that wonderful mix of salt and sweet, crunch and chew will stimulate every taste bud on your tongue and with a pleasant surprise it wont break your teeth. Our tediously baked peanut brittle has that amazing crunch with each bite, but will slowly melt in your mouth if you let it.
CANDY APPLES
A beautiful hand selected Granny Smith Apple that has a shiny perfect red candy coating.
These are great for a summer day treat, party dessert table or your favorite fall holidays. They are sure to please your guests of all ages.
COOKIES
Who doesn't enjoy a good cookie?
If you were to ask me what my favorite cookie is; I would be speechless. I love all cookies from the ooey gooey chocolate chip to our favorite Mexican shortbread cookies.
CINNAMON ROLLS
I love making these delicious treats. I have a secret butter paste that gets cooked into the hand kneaded dough and glazed with an amazing vanilla glaze.
You can easily share a mini tray; though you may not want to after that first bite.
DIET/KETO FRIENDLY
We are committed to providing everyone with any special dietary needs a treat that they can enjoy. I, myself, have lost over 135 pounds and can understand what it feels like to not be able to enjoy whatever one else can because of one reason or another. We would love to help you enjoy any special occasion or just a special treat at the end of a long day.
